Identification
of the first drivers
Identification
of the more worthy drivers for insertion on to the Easykart
Driver Program will be conducted by influential observers
retained by Birel, this, moreover, will be carried out in
a merit-cratic way based on results obtained during races.
On the basis of this criteria, the first drivers identified,
are those who initially have won international titles and
who have, moreover, shown exceptional results in the Easykart
Trophy. For the 2007 season 6 drivers have been chosen:
4 of these will compete in the International Open Championship
and the European Championship for the KF3 category, whilst
the two junior (both from the 60cc class) will be involved
in the Italian championship for the Junior 100. A biennial
programme has been planned for all of them and, for the
first season, an external team has been selected for the
management of the established programme. At the finish of
the season the first report will be drawn up, which will
prepare the strategies for the following year. The first
drivers chosen and who will form part of the programme are
Jan Midrla from the Cech Republic and the Italians, Agostini,
Francescon, De Conto, Viberti and Arone. At the moment predominance
of Italian drivers is favoured by the vivacity of the national
championship, but in future the initiative will assume a
more international tone. In terms of earned merits in sport,
Jan Midrla was International champion of Easykart 60 in
2004 and during the last season won due championships in
the 100cc field. In 2007 he will be engaged in the Open
and European KF3. The same programme will be undertaken
by Riccardo Agostini (winner of the International title
for the 60cc class in 2005), by Andrea Francescon, (winner
of the international title of the 100cc class in 2006) and
by Paolo De Conto, a great rider in the Easykart 100 class
in 2006. On a national key, however, Riccardo Arone (winner
of the 60cc class in 2006) andAlberto Viberti, vice international
champion in the 60 cc class in 2005 will be competing. The
first drivers placed under option, however, are Luca Defendi
(national champion of the 60cc class in 2005), Antonio Celegato
(rider in the 100 Easykart in 2006) and Kevin Lavelli (winner
of the Area championships for the 60 cc class at only 9
years). These drivers will continue their training programme
for the Easykart Trophy.
