OVER 140 DRIVERS FROM 15 DIFFERENT COUNTRIES TO RACE FOR CENTRAL AMERICA'S MOST SOUGHT-AFTER TITLE

Federico Montoya and Johnny Cecotto Jr (GP2 Series driver) on 125 Light start line with international champion Luca Hirst

The great karting event for the 8th Pan-American Easykart Championship edition over the 4 December weekend, organised by Easykart Venezuela,   will attract to San Carlos track over 140 drivers, from all Central America leading countries, willing to seize the most sought-after title. The lion’s share will be for the local drivers, yet Colombia, Argentina, Brazil and Panama will not run short of representatives and of competitiveness.
The race will even feature two drivers from Cuba and English citizen Luca Hirst to star in 125 Light as current International Champion. All Easykart classes will be on the track, ranging from   50 Training preparatory programme to a crowd of talented drivers.
The most experienced in 60cc class will be Venezuelan Fernandez and Grillet, who are both also involved in the Italian championship, just like Rodriguez (Guatemala); 60cc big names also include   Suarez (Chile), Maldonado (Mexico) and Medina (Colombia).
100cc spotlight will be for Baiz and Mostajo (both connected to Birel junior programmes) yet, also   Celis (Mexico) and Vita (Argentina), together with others, will take off boasting brilliant credentials. 125 Light will not only be the most popular category  but  also one of the most interesting ones, featuring Johnny Cecotto Jr ( GP2 Series driver) and  Federico Montoya ( Juan Pablo’s brother),   the former 2003  International Champion. Still International Champions wise, expectations are extremely high for the event’s guest: Luca Hirst from England. Roughly 30 drivers will go for the tile also in 125 Heavy which, as customary, promises to be one of the most challenging categories. And spectacular is the adjective for the collateral activities by Easykart Venezuela, from the promotional Village set up in the paddock and the Hospitality structures, to the concurrent cross competition and Sunday evening closing concert. The Pan-American championship is one of Easykart’s most prestigious events worldwide, able to attract an audience of over 2000, plus dozens of journalists and Venezuela sports television.
Also Birel’s Italian delegation will be large, with race Secretariat staff, two marshals in charge of verification procedures and five Birel Motorsport technicians for effective assistance to all teams and drivers.
