IT WASN’T EASY BUT
PITTINGALE TAKES THE VICTORY!
Pre race favourite Barnaby Pittingale
took the victory in the first round of the MSA backed
EasyKart UK Championship. Pittingale's pace was
electric in the beginning of the final but in the
closing stages Mark Elder drove a fantastic finale
to close within inches of Pittingale. Other drives
worth noting were Harry Cockhill who finished 5th
and Kevin Baines who both started from the back
of grid after off's in the pre final.
In the B final it was Darren
Newport who after technical problems in time qualifying
found himself in the B and drove lights to flag
victory both in the pre final and the final. Spirited
drives came from Ken Steward 2nd and newcomer Lee
Stenning 3rd..
It's worth noting that the majority
of the A final was covered by just 0.2 on drivers
best lap times, evidence indeed that Easy Kart is
close, competitive but above all fair !
